Mandiri Investasi and BSI Strengthen Sharia Capital Market

Jakarta, October 10, 2025 – PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) has reaffirmed its strong commitment to driving the growth of the Sharia Capital Market as part of its strategy to strengthen the Islamic financial ecosystem and expand the base of Sharia investors in Indonesia.

BSI collaborates with PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi (MMI) and BSI Maslahat to introduce an investment service called Mandiri Pasar Uang Syariah Maslahat Money Market Fund. The product is developed by MMI, with BSI acting as the anchor investor, while BSI Maslahat manages part of the investment proceeds to support social welfare programs and promote the green economy through the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

This collaboration among a bank, an investment manager, and a philanthropic institution reflects a strong shared commitment to developing innovative Islamic financial instruments that are easily accessible to investors. The uniqueness of this initiative lies not only in its Sharia-compliant investment approach but also in its focus on generating sustainable benefits for the broader community.

In its initial phase, BSI and MMI are prioritizing participation from both retail and institutional investors. This initiative serves as an important foundation to strengthen growth and expand inclusive and sustainable investment access. As of October 7, 2025, MMI manages total assets under management (AUM) of IDR 52.9 trillion.

President Director of BSI, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, stated, “Promoting Sharia finance in Indonesia requires strong synergy and collaboration among multiple stakeholders. This effort aims to provide a diverse range of financial services so that the public can choose investment instruments that best suit their preferences.”

Anggoro added that the next challenge lies in harnessing the potential of Sharia economics as a new engine for national growth—through optimized penetration of Sharia financial instruments and close collaboration among stakeholders to foster an inclusive, welfare-oriented economy.

This partnership underscores BSI’s commitment to empowering the community through the active role of investors in the Sharia Capital Market. A portion of the investment returns from this collaboration will be allocated to social and ESG programs, focusing particularly on clean water sanitation and initiatives that enhance community welfare.

Furthermore, investors can participate in the Mandiri Pasar Uang Syariah Maslahat investment service with a minimum investment of just IDR 10,000, enabling them to contribute directly to transparent and sustainable social and environmental programs.

From a treasury ecosystem perspective, BSI continues to strengthen its capital market business—focusing on custodian banking, treasury, trade services, and Sharia-based capital market services such as safekeeping, fund services, trustee, and agency roles.

Ernawan R. Salimsyah, CFA, Investment Director of PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, stated that the product will be offered to both institutional and individual investors. Institutional investors may subscribe directly through MMI, while retail investors can access the product through the designated distribution channels.
